Dormston School in Sedgley is holding a community forum to discuss local matters on Tuesday 20 May.
The public meeting, which is taking place in the school’s foyer and theatre, will consist of stalls from 6.30 to 7.30pm where locals can get information. A community ‘question and answer’ session will then take place between 7.30 and 8.30pm.
A number of organisations who operate in the area, including Dudley Council, West Midlands Police, Connexions, West Midlands Fire Service, Neighbourhood Watch, health workers, smoking cessation advisors, highways officers and the Citizens Advice Bureau, will be there. Residents can also talk to school’s chair of governors as well as its management team and student council.
Visitors to the forum, sponsored by the Sedgley Co-op, will be provided with refreshments in the foyer where ward councillors will be on hand to answer residents’ questions.
Steve Dixon, deputy head at Dormston School, said:
“Dormston School is at the heart of the Sedgley community, which is why we are delighted to be hosting the forum.
“This is a chance for local people to have their say on matters affecting the school and the wider community and we’re looking forward to hearing the comments.”
