Pupils encourage junior savers
Local primary school children have received a cash bonus after taking part in a design competition.

Thirty pupils from Mount Pleasant school entered the competition run by Castle & Crystal Credit Union.  The young artists designed posters advertising their school’s junior savings club.  The saving scheme now has more than fifty members and the club collection point runs every Friday from 12 – 1pm.

The three winners Kyle Boucher, Lia Nicholls, and Thomas Cole all received £5 for their savings accounts.

Councillor Anne Millward, Deputy Leader of Dudley Council, said:
“The children have made a tremendous effort with the new posters.  Castle & Crystal has a range of products to suit everyone and we are keen to encourage children to start saving at an early age.  As a not-for-profit organisation, they work within the community and provide a personal and professional service.”
