Borough residents will have the chance to learn more about how the issue of drugs is being tackled within Dudley borough this week.
safe & sound, Dudley’s community safety partnership will be joining West Midlands Police in activities across the borough during national Tackling Drugs week from 19 – 23 May.
On Thursday 22 May a mobile police unit will be sited in Market Place in Dudley town centre from 9am until 4pm. Members of the public will be able to speak to representatives from safe & sound, ask questions and find out about services across the borough.
In addition there will be information displays in the police stations in Dudley, Brierley Hill, Stourbridge and Halesowen throughout the week.
Councillor Anne Millward, cabinet member for community safety, said:
“This national awareness raising week will give us the opportunity to show what positive work we are undertaking in the borough to tackle drug misuse and drug-related crime.”
