Dudley Council are inviting local residents to take part in a community clean up day in the Tennyson Street area, Pensnett, on Saturday 31 May at 10.00am.
The council is working closely with the Pensnett Tenants & Residents Association, who is hosting the litter pick to encourage tenants and residents to take pride in their estate.
It is hoped that by working together we can make a difference to everyone’s lives by creating somewhere people are proud to live, work and visit. All of those who take part in the event will be given safety advice and be issued with appropriate tools.
Councillor Michael Evans, cabinet member for housing, said:
‘Clean up events benefit the whole community and with a little effort from local people they can improve the look of an area whilst help to build community spirit. Such events are a great way to get to know neighbours whilst working for the good of Pensnett.’
Please contact Kim Avantaggiato from the participation development team on 01384 813066 or email kim.avantaggiato@dudley.gov.uk to find out more information. Those who take part in the event will be required to complete a short form for health & safety reasons.
