Council tenants in Dudley can now see a housing manager at a time to suit their needs following the launch of a new appointments system.
Dudley Council’s housing services has evaluated customer feedback and as part of its review of existing services are now offering tenants the opportunity to pick their own timeslot.
The service is available from 8am – 6pm from Monday to Friday.
Tenants should call Dudley Council Plus on 01384 812345 to ask for a housing manager to contact them to arrange an appointment, or visit their area housing office.
Councillor Michael Evans, cabinet member for housing, said:
“We want to continually improve our service to tenants and are always looking to how we can serve them better. I believe that flexible appointments will make contacting housing managers much easier, as tenants will be able to arrange them according to their daily commitments.
Housing managers are there to ensure tenants are having no difficulty with their housing tenancy or on their estate. They can deal with enquiries ranging from how to maintain tenancies if there are any difficulties, to issues of anti social behaviour.”
Meetings may not always be with people’s own area housing manager, but will be with one who can deal with the enquiry efficiently.
