1st Wall Heath Guides were successful in receiving funds at last night’s (Thurs) Brierley Hill area committee.
The funding of £2,000 was agreed at the capital allocations meeting prior to area committee at The Brier school in Kingswinford.
The money will be spent on a notebook computer, printer and various items of camping equipment including gas cookers; large billy cans, cooking trays, tables for cookers and food preparation and a full set of cooking utensils.
Councillor David Blood, chair of Brierley Hill area committee, said:
“Area committees have been funding small groups and organisations for many years.
“The 1st Wall Heath Guides are a new guide movement who have only been running for a month and I am delighted that Brierley Hill area committee have been able to support them with much needed equipment to get them on their feet.
“I wish them all the very best for the future and I hope the equipment will serve them well for many years to come.”
