Section 65 of the Local Government Finance Act, 1992, requires the Council to make arrangements to consult persons, or bodies, who are representative of persons subject to non-domestic rates in the area, about proposals for expenditure for the forthcoming year.
Non-domestic ratepayers have a direct interest in the level and costs of local services, in the economy and efficiency with which services are provided, and in value for money. They may also have a wider interest in the nature of the services which authorities provide.
Consultation is therefore being sought from key representatives of non-domestic ratepayers
Your views matter to us and consultation is intended to provide a focus for a constructive and continuing dialogue between authorities and representatives of non-domestic ratepayers on all these matters and to foster a spirit of partnership in which both sides recognise the need for mutual co-operation.
Written responses should be submitted to the Chief Executive by 12 Noon on Thursday, 22nd February 2018
