There will be one seat up for election in each of the 24 Wards.

The last local elections in Dudley took place on Thursday 3rd May 2018

Key dates for the 2019 local elections

The deadline for registering to vote is Friday 12 April.

The deadline for applying to vote by post is 5pm on Monday 15th April 2019

The deadline for appointing a proxy is 5pm on Wednesday 24th April

Poll cards will be delivered from Tuesday 26th March and should reach all households by Tuesday 2nd April

Postal ballot packs will be issued from Friday 12th April and will be delivered to all postal voters by 19th April

Information for Candidates

Information on standing as a candidate in local elections is available on the Electoral Commission Website.

Candidates and agents briefing sessions were held on 13th March, slides presented at the candidates and agents briefing

Nomination papers can be collected from the Elections Office, Old Crown Court, Priory Street, Dudley, DY1 1EY. Nomination packs can also be downloaded.

Completed nomination papers can be delivered to the Returning Officer, Old Crown Court, Priory Street, Dudley from Tuesday 26th March, the deadline for delivery of nomination papers is 4pm on Wednesday 3rd April

Candidates and agents should also be aware of the code of practice on the display of election posters and eligible electorate figures for election expenses
