Consultation on proposed changes to the method for calculating funding to maintained & special schools and academies for delivering the special provision in a pupil’s Education, Health & Care Plan (EHCP).

This consultation document sets out the proposed changes, with effect from April 2021 and in relation to the academic year 2021/2022 onwards, that Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council (Dudley LA) wishes to make to the method for calculating funding to maintained & special schools and academies for delivering the special provision in their pupils’ EHCPs. 

As this proposal would involve a change to the operation of its scheme for financing schools, Dudley LA is required to consult schools and then obtain the approval of the Schools Forum, before implementing these changes.
