Armed Forces Day, which celebrates the work of serving personnel both past and present, will be held on Sunday July 1 in the grounds of Himley Hall and Park from 11am to 5pm. Entry to the event is FREE.
It’s a centenary special at this year’s Armed Forces Day, with the Dudley Council event set to mark 100 years since the formation of the Royal Air Force and the end of World War I next weekend.
Entertainment for all the family including vintage fairground rides, Punch and Judy shows and craft, food and vintage stalls will be on offer.
The Bluebird Belles, a vintage vocal harmony trio, and RAF Cosford Voluntary Band will perform on the day, veterans will be presented with their special medals and badges and there will be a display of current and historic military vehicles.
Visitors can also enjoy WWI themed history talks in the hall.
