On Wednesday 19th September we have one of our Treasures of the Museum Talks. This one is about Denis Mann, “Mastermind and The Museum”.

These monthly talks are given by our Outreach staff and feature a hidden treasure we have.

The talks last about 45 minutes and start at 10.30am and 11.30am, are FREE to attend and you get a cuppa and a biscuit!

Denis Mann is a Scottish glass artist who works mainly as a wheel engraver using both copper and diamond wheels. He was born in Highland Perthshire and now lives in Wick Caithness in the far north of Scotland.  He is the maker of the Mastermind Trophy and we have three pieces of his work in The Dudley Collection, two purchased from an exhibition at Broadfield House Glass Museum by the Scottish Glass Society and one purchased by The Friends of Broadfield House.
