A photographic display featuring couples who have tied the knot at Himley Hall over the last 10 years has gone on display.
Dudley’s historic Himley Hall is celebrating 10 years of weddings in its West Wing this summer and is sharing the happy memories of the hundreds of couples who have got married there over the past decade.
Dudley Council, which manages and runs the venue, invited couples to submit photos of their big day as part of the celebration and wedding fair launch event on Saturday 4 May.
The 18 century, grade II* stately home, has been a popular wedding venue for decades. The open day will reveal new paintwork, interior and exterior signage, the opening up of the hall foyer into an informal reception area for guests, use of the stairwell and its chandelier backdrop for photos and the renaming of the rooms to better reflect the hall’s history.
Four rooms will be dressed for the occasion, and will be fully fitted out as if for a wedding. Visitors will be able to experience the venue set up for a wedding breakfast, formal dinner and evening celebration.
The ticketed public event on the Saturday which runs from 11am – 4pm is an opportunity to look around the venue, talk to the wedding team, tour the historic hall and sample the hall’s gourmet food. Couples attending on the day can enter a free prize draw to win a free room for their wedding ceremony.
This year the hall has a range of packages to choose from, priced from £5,999, and can be personalised to suit the needs of each couple.
