Business breakfast session
Businesses are invited to discuss the exciting prospects of a move to DY5 over breakfast next month.
The event, organised by Dudley Council’s business support service, Dudley Business First, will take place on Thursday June 13 from 7.30 to 9.30am at the Brierley Hop House on Level Street.
DY5, Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone offers high quality, affordable office space. This event is ideal for anyone wishing to discover more about the plans for the area and how doing business here can be of benefit to them.
It is specifically tailored for businesses looking for high quality and affordable office space, which can be found on the Waterfront, the heart of DY5, Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone.
The Waterfront area of the enterprise zone is growing in confidence since its launch in early 2017, with nearly 30 businesses moving in.
Alan Lunt, strategic director for place at Dudley Council, said:
In the two years since we launched the enterprise zone more than 600 jobs have been created, and more than £24million invested.
At the Waterfront there’s a real sense that things are changing and you can physically see that more units are now occupied and more people are now working in the area.
We want businesses to be part of this exciting opportunity. Come and see us at our breakfast meeting and find out how you could be part DY5.
During the event, businesses can also find out more about the benefits of operating within DY5, not least its central location, the opportunity for business rate relief and the introduction of the Metro in a few years’ time.
The session is free to attend and delegates are asked to register in advance.
DY5, Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone launched in the early part of 2017 and is based in the borough’s strategic centre of Brierley Hill.
It aims to rejuvenate the Waterfront office complex at Merry Hill and create additional office, technology and industrial space in the surrounding areas of Brierley Hill, Harts Hill and Pensnett. It is expected to deliver up to 7,000 new jobs and uplift the economy by £589million each year.
