Council House to turn red for World AIDS Day
Posted on:
Dudley Council House is to be lit up in red tonight (Thu) to mark World AIDS Day.
The council house, on Priory Road, will be one of many local government buildings and landmarks around the country lit up to raise awareness.
Councillor Patrick Harley, leader of the council, said:
There are more than 100,000 people in the UK living with HIV or AIDS, and many more millions across the world.
It hasn’t gone away, and World AIDS Day is incredibly important to get that message across.
We need to continue to raise awareness, and as a council we will do our bit to help with that by lighting up the Council House red tomorrow night.
