Council scoops Education Business Award
Dudley Council and Revolution for Schools, the commercial trading arm of the local authority, has won the Education Business Award for School Procurement for its work supporting schools during the pandemic.
The team worked alongside colleagues across the Council to source, order and supply thousands of personal protective equipment items, to help ensure schools, colleges and early years provisions were safe for staff and children across the borough.
The Education Business Awards have pioneered the recognition of school’s achievements since 1998 on a national stage. In the current climate it is more important than ever to acknowledge the vital role schools and their partners have played in helping the country to bounce back.
The team were nominated for the award by the Education Business Awards editorial team as an area that excelled during the pandemic supporting schools and were part of a shortlist of key players in the sector.
Councillor Shaun Keasey, cabinet member for digital, customer and commercial services at Dudley Council, said:
A huge congratulations to the Revolution for Schools team on winning this award. It is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when we work in collaboration with our partners and colleagues.
