Easter fun at Crystal Leisure Centre

Posted on:

Children of all ages can take part in fun and games at the Crystal Leisure Centre during the Easter holidays.

The Dudley Council owned facility in Bell Street, Stourbridge, will be hosting a jam packed fortnight.

The swimming pool, complete with slides, bubble seat and rapids, is open every day with free swimming offered to children aged 16 and under who have registered for the council’s scheme.

An hour-long trampolining session for children under five years will run at 9am on Tuesday 16 April at a cost of £5.20 per child. Children aged five to 15 can take part in one of the beginner’s classes at 10am and 11am or an improver’s class at noon, costing £6.30 per child. Parents must be present at the under fives’ lessons and all classes must be booked in advance.

Intensive junior swimming lessons for children age four and over will run from Monday 15 to Friday 19 April and Tuesday 23 April to Friday 26 April. Beginners who require armbands or swimming belts can join lessons starting at 9.30am and 10.30am with an improvers class for children who can swim up to 25m at 10am. The daily 30-minute lessons must be pre-booked and courses cost £21.60 for four days or £27 for five days.

Crafty children aged five to 11 can get creative with Easter crafts on Tuesday 16 April from 11am. The hour long session costs £5 and must be booked in advance.

There will be a giant inflatable play event with wipeout games, huge slides, assault courses plus an Easter egg hunt on Wednesday 17 April. It is suitable for children aged two to 13 and tickets cost £7 per child and £1 per adult. Tickets need to be booked online in advance at www.ticketsource.co.uk/BigBounce

Youngsters aged seven and under can crawl, step, or run their way around the soft play suite throughout the holidays. Qualified staff supervise the area, but parents must remain with their children. A crèche facility is also available at the centre. Parents are asked to check opening times before their visit.

Alan Lunt, strategic director for place, said:

There’s a great range of sport and craft activities on offer at Crystal Leisure Centre this Easter.
As always we would encourage people to book sessions in advance as they are very popular.”

A 50 per cent discount is available on selected activities for those with an Options+ Leisure Discount card. For more information, or to book a place, call 01384 812800, or visit www.dudley.gov.uk/sport
