Free ‘Support Future’ sessions for young people

Posted on:

A series of free sessions will take place at Duncan Edwards Leisure Centre this summer to support young people with their physical and mental health.

The Dudley Council-run centre will welcome local charity, Support Futures, into the centre to run the sessions with young people aged 18 to 29.

They will include mental health workshops and non-contact boxing training with top coaches.

The sessions take place from 10am to 1.30pm on June 7, 14, 21 and 28 and July 5, 12, 19 and 26.

Councillor Simon Phipps, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:

It’s really important we all look after our physical and mental wellbeing and I’m pleased Support Futures is able to offer these free sessions for young people in our borough.
We hope these sessions help build the confidence of those who attend and open up new opportunities for the future.

The charity’s mission is to encourage the rehabilitation, education and employability of young people in the Black Country through the medium of sport.

Sessions must be booked in advance. To book a place contact 07802 479276 or go to
