Brierley Hill will come alive with the fun of the fair later this month as part of the annual Black Country Festival celebrations.
The Brier Fair, now in its second year, will be back with a bang on Saturday July 21 from 9am to 5pm along Brierley Hill High Street.
There will also be entertainment from top local acts on the Black Country Radio stage throughout the day. At 10am the band of the 2156 Brierley Hill Squadron will perform a number of military songs, followed by the Rock Choir at 11am and Bounce Back Choir at noon.
In the afternoon local acts including The Daisies, Star Time Variety, Dynamix and Lucas Burns Dance Academy will take to the stage to entertain crowds.
Councillor Alan Taylor, the Mayor of Dudley, said:
The Brier Fair was a big hit last year with thousands turning out to enjoy the day and this year promises to be no different as we’ve got a top line up of entertainment planned.
This is a day when local people can come together, have fun and celebrate all that’s great about the Black Country
The event is organised by Dudley Council with the support of Asda Brierley Hill and other traders in the town.
To allow people to move freely within the town, the High Street will be closed from its junction with Talbot Street and the Moor Centre from 5am to 8pm.
There are dozens of events taking place this month as part of Black Country Festival.
