Halesowen Leisure Centre pool closed

Posted on:

The pool at Halesowen Leisure Centre is temporarily closed due to unexpected mechanical issues.

It will remain closed until further notice, while engineers carry out emergency repairs.

The gym and fitness classes at the centre site will be open and running as usual.

Swimmers are advised to use the 25 metre pools at Dudley Leisure Centre during this time but must book a session in advance by calling 01384 812800. Members are encouraged to book online.

Councillor Ian Kettle, cabinet member for regeneration and enterprise, said:

Due to unforeseen mechanical issues we have had to close the pool with immediate effect and expect it to remain closed for at least two to three weeks.
We’re working with contractors to get it up and running as soon as we can and apologise to residents for the inconvenience caused.

The 25 metre pool at Crystal Leisure Centre is also currently closed until November 2 while maintenance work is carried out as part of its £600,000 heating upgrade.
