Halesowen road closed for resurfacing
A busy road in Halesowen will have a series of overnight closures as part of the continuing resurfacing of borough roads.
Dudley Council has a rolling programme of resurfacing well underway with Mucklow Hill the latest to benefit.
The road will be closed overnight between B&Q island to Hollies Drive from Wednesday November 23 to Thursday December 1, 7pm and 3am each night.
Council bosses have apologised for any inconvenience but stressed it will lead to better driving conditions for motorists. An extra £1million was added to this year’s budget to tackle potholes and other defects.
Councillor Shaz Saleem, cabinet member for highways and public realm, said:
This is essential work as part of our wider programme of resurfacing. We know this is a busy road which is why we have taken the decision to resurface overnight to minimise the impact on motorists. I would like to apologise for any inconvenience that this might cause people but rest assured tackling road defects will always be a priority.
