Sycamore Adventure is gearing up for a Spooktacular themed October half term.

With children set to break up next Friday, the Dudley Council-run facility, based at Sycamore Green is putting the finishing touches to its planned Halloween themed workshops and activities.

On Monday October 28, there will be a poisons and spells workshop from 11am to 4pm, followed by a slimy and messy workshop on Wednesday October 30 from 11am to 4pm.

On Halloween (October 31) there’s a bumper day of activities for children with special educational needs and their families from 10am to 4pm including a slimy and messy workshop during the session.

There’s a makeup themed workshop on Friday November 1 from 11am to 4pm and a Halloween themed craft workshop from 11am to 2pm on Saturday November 2.

Other daily activities will also include a ghostly trail, pumpkin mask craft, fancy dress competitions and DJ Goblin’s dance competition.

A donation of £3.50 is suggested per activity, per child. All money raised goes towards running costs at the adventure playground. Children will also be able to make the most of the outdoor facilities during their visit.

The centre is also organising a day trip to Blackpool on Tuesday October 29, leaving the centre at 9am. Children must be accompanied by an adult and tickets cost £15 per person. To find out more contact Donna by emailing sycamorefundraisinggroup@gmail.com

Councillor Ruth Buttery, cabinet member for children’s services, said:

Sycamore Adventure prides itself on being a family run centre and it’s great to see so many activities for children to get involved in.
We’re lucky to have this kind of facility in our borough and I’d encourage as many people to get along as possible and also make the most of the fantastic outdoor facilities while they’re there.

There is no need to book for Halloween half term, but if people have not been to the centre before, they need to visit the website and select register to play. To find out more about Sycamore Adventure go to www.sycamoreadventure.co.uk

The centre will also be hosting a family firework display on Tuesday November 5 from 5 to 7pm. Tickets cost £5 for one child and one adult. To find out more and book your ticket contact Donna by emailing sycamorefundraisinggroup@gmail.com
