Youngsters can enjoy exploring the grounds of Himley Hall with a Halloween themed scavenger hunt over the half term break.
Children can Help Wendy Witch stop the Dragons of Dudley from destroying the local area by finding the ingredients for her magic potion.
The trail runs from Saturday 26 to Thursday 31 October. Trail sheets and certificates are available from the Coffee Lounge in Himley Hall and cost 50p.
While on site visitors can also drop into the coffee lounge for light refreshments. The lounge is open from 11am to 4pm every day during the school holidays, although the lounge will be closed on the 1, 2 and 3 November for the set-up for the famous Himley bonfire.
There’s also one last opportunity to catch two exhibitions at the hall as they enter their final week.
The ‘Himley Hall & Dudley Castle’ exhibition runs until Sunday 3 November, featuring the history of Dudley Castle & Himley Hall from 1066 to the present day.
And there’s one last chance to see an exhibition of original artwork by Gary M. Tilyard which runs until Sunday 27 October. This exhibition shows a fusion of lettering, advertising art, signwriting and Pop Art which has interested Gary for many years, getting his inspiration from matchbox labels, beer mats, and album covers.
The highlight of half term at the hall is of course the Himley Hall Bonfire and Fireworks on Saturday 2 November. The legendary family friendly event will be lighting up the night sky with music set to this year's theme 'To the Moon and Back', celebrating 50 years since the moon landing. Tickets are available online, with discounts for advanced booking.
