Help improve the lives of older people at event next week
People with an interest in helping improve the lives of older people are invited to an event in the borough next week.
Connecting Older People will take place on Thursday November 24 from 10am to 1pm at Wellington Road Community Centre in Wellington Road, Dudley.
The event is free and tea, coffee and light refreshments will be provided. People can sign up and book their place on Eventbrite.
Councillor Ian Bevan, cabinet member for public health, said:
Those attending will get the opportunity to network and share their ideas for helping older people.
They can listen to ideas put forward by community groups on projects giving older people more opportunities to get out, join in with activities and make new friends.
After listening, they will then have a vote on which groups should receive support from our Connecting Older People Fund to make their projects a reality.
This is a great workshop and it would be great to see lots of people there.
The event is being run by Dudley Council’s public health team.
