Mayor pops in to support charity

The Mayor of Dudley popped into a leading charity to lend his support to their fundraising.

Macmillan Cancer Research were in Dudley town centre today raising money for the charity.

Macmillan is one of the Mayor’s chosen charities for his year in office, along with The Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and Black Country.

Councillor David Stanley, Mayor of Dudley, said:

This charity do some tremendous work helping to save thousands of lives from this terrible illness. It was a real pleasure to see first-hand the hard work that goes in to raising money, in all weathers!
I have pledged to do everything I can during my year in office to raise money for both my charities, and I encourage people to do all they can to help me support these two worthwhile causes.”
