Mayor visits Lapal House

Posted on:

The Mayor of Dudley called in at Lapal House on Friday as part of a series of visits to members of the Mayoral Business Club.

Lapal House provides quality care to older people in the Halesowen area.

This tailor-made care in a beautiful environment, allows residents to truly feel they are at home at Lapal House.

The Mayor and Mayoress dropped by to find out more about the work the organisation does and met with managers, staff and residents.

The Mayor of Dudley, Councillor Alan Taylor said:

It was a pleasure to meet Tony, his professional staff and the residents. This is clearly a very welcoming and happy place to live and work. The individual rooms are so spacious and personalised and the large sitting rooms, orangery and well-tended gardens really make this feel like home.
I’m grateful to Lapal House for supporting the Mayoral Business Club which helps us to provide community events across the borough through their sponsorship and I would encourage other like-minded businesses to consider joining us in the work we do."

Tony Billingham, owner of Lapal House said:

“The team really enjoyed showing the Mayor and Mayoress around Lapal House. We think it’s a lovely place to be and I think they thought so too. Our staff are really proud of everything we offer, whether it’s the personalised care, beautiful setting, chef prepared meals or just the general warmth and genuine friendliness you feel when you walk through our doors.
Joining the Mayoral Business Club has been really useful to us, with networking opportunities and social events. It’s also nice to know that our contribution helps to support popular events like Armed Forces Day and the Himley Bonfire which bring so much pleasure to thousands of residents."

The Mayoral Business Club is made up of businesses with a keen interest in working with the council and other agencies to make the borough an attractive place to work and live. Members of the club benefit from a range of networking events and VIP experiences and can sponsor many of the borough’s popular events such as the Civic Awards, Armed Forces Day and Himley Bonfire.
