Men urged to highlight health this Movember

Posted on:

Men across the borough are being asked to get creative with their best moustache to highlight the importance of health this Movember.

The month of November sees men across the country growing out their whiskers for the month.

It’s part of a national drive to encourage more discussions around men’s health.

Councillor Nicolas Barlow, Dudley Council’s lead member for health is urging men to grow their moustaches as part of the national drive.

Councillor Nicolas Barlow, cabinet member for health and adult social care, said:

It’s important that men continue to talk about health issues specific to them such as testicular and prostate cancers as well as other issues such as mental health.
It’s just a bit of fun for a month but it helps highlight these important issues.

People can also raise money for the charity. Since 2003, Movember has funded more than 1,250 men’s health projects around the world.
