Drivers are being warned to expect delays after essential resurfacing work started on part of Stourbridge Ring Road this week.
Works began yesterday (Thu) on the Bath Road side of the ring road.
Two lanes will be closed on Bath Road between Enville Street and the slip road onto High Street, Amblecote, from Tuesday June 25 to Friday June 28 and Monday July 1 to Wednesday July 3.
The slip road onto High Street, Amblecote, will also be closed off during the works with a diversion route via Enville Street, Wollaston High Street, Wollaston Road and Amblecote High Street in place.
Access to the Bonded Warehouse and other frontages will still be possible from the other direction.
The work will be carried out at off peak times from 9.30am to 3.30pm each day.
Councillor Karen Shakespeare, cabinet member for environmental, highways and street services, said:
We are looking to minimise disruption for drivers by completing these essential works outside of morning and evening rush hours.
However, with it being such a busy road, some delays are inevitable and we would urge drivers to seek alternative routes where possible while the works are ongoing.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will strive to complete the resurfacing and get the road fully re-opened again as quickly as possible.
