Nearly 40,000 people have registered with an online account at Dudley Council designed to make it faster and more efficient when contacting the authority.
Since its launch a year ago, thousands of people have chosen to contact Dudley Council through its customer connect feature on its website.
Customer connect allows people to create an online account, which they can use to report issues, make payments and submit service requests.
It simplifies the process and people can choose to contact the council at a time to suit them. Since it launched, more than 40,000 service requests have been submitted online.
Councillor Pete Lowe, cabinet member for finance, council sustainability and transformation, said:
More and more people are choosing to access information about the council online, with our website receiving millions of visits each year.
Through customer connect we’re offering one of the quickest and easiest ways to contact the council and I’m pleased thousands of people are now choosing to contact us in this way.”
People can register a ‘customer connect’ account at www.dudley.gov.uk and clicking on register/sign in. It’s that simple. People just need an email address in order to create an account.
People can also contact the council for free via the Dudley Council app, which can be downloaded to people’s devices from their app store, or through Digi TV.
