Young people recognised at awards ceremony
Gardening, construction and business apprentices at Dudley Council were rewarded for their hard work at an awards ceremony.
The event recognised and celebrated the achievements of over 30 apprentices, management trainees and their mentors at a ceremony in the Great Hall at Dudley College last night (March 5).
Awards were presented to a ‘rising star’ of the apprenticeship programme and recognised individual winners from each level of study.

Apprentices from across Dudley Council’s public realm services, which include gardening, construction and business, were acknowledged for their hard work.
An award was also presented to an ‘inspirational employee’ who had ‘gone the extra mile’ to support apprentices in the programme.
Councillor David Vickers, deputy leader of the council said:
I’d like to congratulate all of the award winners. It is important to celebrate the successes of our apprentices, their hard work and dedication.
We recognise the value of people in our own workforce, particularly individuals who are at the start of their careers.
I’d like to wish them every success in their futures and hope they will continue working for Dudley.
