P673 - Notice Narrow Lane Waiting and One Way

Background
Narrow Lane, Feldon Lane, Newlands Drive and Dale Road are all single carriageway roads with residential properties on both sides. They also provide as pedestrian and vehicle access to Hurst Green Primary School and Halesbury School. As part of the Council’s policy for 20mph Speed Limits outside schools, the above roads/schools were identified for inclusion in the Safer Routes to School programme to introduce an advisory 20mph Speed Limit and parking restrictions to improve safety for children and parents travelling to and from school.   The proposals are necessary in order to:-  (i)  Prevent the road being used in an unsuitable manner.  (ii) For preserving or improving the amenities of the area through which the road runs.  (iii) To avoid danger to persons and traffic using the road and prevent the likelihood of any danger arising there from. 

Narrow Lane is a single carriageway roads with residential properties on both sides. As part of a local safety scheme along Narrow Lane, it is proposed to make the entrance to the service road adjacent to 126 and 127.

P672 - King William Street, Canal Street And School Street (Off Street Parking Places) Order 2018

The proposals are to revoke unlimited waiting in;King William St Car Park (A), Amblecote King William St Car Park (B), Amblecote Canal St Car Park, Roseville and School St Car Park, Rosevilleand replace with;2 hour maximum stay (no return within 3 hours) King William St Car Park (A), Amblecote 16 hour maximum stay (no return within 3 hours) King William St Car Park (B), Amblecote2 hour maximum stay (no return within 3 hours) Canal St Car Park, Roseville and 2 hour maximum stay (no return within 3 hours) School St Car Park, Roseville following complaints from business's in the areas that there is no dedicated off street parking provision for motorists making visits of short duration to these areas.The restrictions to waiting time are necessary in order to preserve or improve the amenities of the areas in which the car parks are situated.

Background
Following the installation of Double yellow lines in Blackthorne Road, Dudley, a request for further lines were requested which are shown in these proposals. The additional restrictions in Poole Street are to compliment a previous Safer Routes to School scheme following the expansion of Gigmill Primary School.
