The Blue Badge Scheme allows people who have severe mobility problems to access places such as shops or public buildings that they would not be able to get to if they were not able to park near. This may be by having access to specific spaces in car parks or by being allowed to park on single or double yellow lines for up to 3 hours as long as it is safe to do so and does not cause an obstruction.
A Blue Badge holder may be allowed to park free of charge in some pay and display car parks. It is important to check the information displayed in each car park to know if charges apply.
Blue Badges cost £10 and are valid for 3 years.
Dudley MBC are only able to issue Blue Badges to permanent residents of the Borough. If you live in a different borough then please contact your local council for information about how to apply for a Blue Badge.
We only issue badges in accordance with the guidelines and regulations provided by the Department for Transport (DfT).
