The Dudley Children in Care and Care Leavers Awards are back – with new Award categories and an amazing theme: Superheroes!

This year’s awards are being planned and organised by the Children in Care Council (Make A Difference) and the Care Leavers Forum (Our Say Our Way). There will be an Awards event held in November, where shortlisted nominees and nominators, will come together to recognise & celebrate the talents and achievements of Dudley’s looked after children and those leaving care.

We have introduced new categories to capture the great things that children and young people achieve, and also those who support us.

Nominations can be made online by anyone NOW until 1st October, and you can nominate as many people as you want.

What are the categories?

Horizon Award - To recognise a young person who has shown ambition, aspiration, resilience and remained focussed despite the barriers they have faced.

Make A Difference Award - To recognise a young person who has made a positive contribution to their community e.g. through volunteering, helping others etc.
