This approved supplementary planning guidance will assist the marketing, design and redevelopment of the Huntingdon Gardens Estate and will be used to determine planning applications in the future.
The Huntingdon Gardens Estate will be demolished and redeveloped with a mix of affordable and market housing. The redevelopment of this site will make a positive contribution to the regeneration of Cradley.
Public consultation took place during November to December 2001 where the public were invited to comment on the Draft Brief.
The guidance has been well received with two key concerns raised relating to the fate of the existing play area and brief's proposal to introduce on street parking along Colley Lane.
The Development Brief was amended in light of people's comments and was approved at the Council's Development Control Committee meeting on 4th February 2002.
