We have a range of spaces available to hire and can provide technical support and equipment. The centre is a ME2 inclusive venue and is fully accessible by wheelchair users. Whether you need space for 300 invitees for a conference or a meeting room for a small group of people, the centre can be tailored to suit your event.
Our main facility is the 322 seat theatre which can be hired for rehearsals and performances by professional and amateur drama, dance and music groups. The theatre has a proscenium arch stage, 2 dressing rooms and a comprehensive lighting and sound setup. The centre can also be adapted for exhibitions and other events.
Refreshments and bar facilities are available but need to be specified on booking.

Payment
Deposit:
- 50% deposit for bookings over £100
- full payment for bookings under £100
The deposit will be forfeit upon the cancellation of a booking. For events where the hirer is new to the building the management reserve the right to ask for a returnable bond of £250 against any damages.

Performing Rights Society
It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure that performances comply with the Performing Rights Society regulations and the necessary licenses have been obtained where appropriate.
Young performers and chaperones
Some performances which include children will need to comply with children's licensing regulations. If you are in any doubt about needing a license for this purpose please contact DMBC's Child Employment Officer on 01384 814317 who will be happy to advise.
