How to book

Having the following information handy will help us to process your booking more quickly:

  • Preferred date for your visit (it may be helpful to have a few options available)
  • Staff contact details (email, phone number and school address)
  • Number and ages of students
  • Number of accompanying adults (please let us know if this includes 1:1 carers)
  • Preferred arrival and departure time
  • Details of any special or additional needs, and how we can support your visit.
  • Parking requirements (there is a coach bay outside)

£200 per day for up to 32 pupils.

This includes:

  • Guided tour
  • Glass fusing
  • Glass blowing demonstration (extra charge for small groups)
  • Afternoon activities
  • Accompanying adults are free

Small groups (up to 15 participants). £6 per participant.

An additional charge of £50 if a glass-blowing demonstration is required.

Planning visits

Entrance to the Museum is free. If you wish to meet a member of the education team during the week to discuss in more detail any aspect of your visit please contact us in advance.


The Red House Glass Cone is accessible to all. Whatever your requirements we will do our best to meet them.

Coaches may set down and pick up directly outside the Cone entrance.

How to pay

Payment can be made by cheque on the day. If you are a Dudley LA school please pay via 'Agresso'.

If you require an official invoice there will be a £10 administration fee.

Once your booking has been confirmed we will email you with the cost, payment details, schedule of your day and additional information to help your visit run smoothly.

Terms and Conditions

  • Group sizes.  A minimum group size charge will be applied to all bookings of 12 or below.
  • Changes and Cancellations. Please tell us as soon as possible if you wish to alter or cancel your booking. If you booking is cancelled less than two weeks before your visit then you will be charged 50%. If you booking is cancelled less than one week before your visit you would be charged 100%.
  • Refunds. We ask for payment on the day of your visit meaning you pay for the number of pupils attending on the day. Therefore refunds should not be necessary.
  • Late arrivals. If you are running late please phone ahead and let us know (01384 815571) we will always do our best to adjust timings.
  • Personal belongings. We cannot accept responsibility for valuables or belongings.
