Family Forest School*
Saturdays in Term-Time, 10am - 11:30am
Outdoor activities aimed at children aged 3-8 and their parents/carers. We encourage free play, and offer at least one activity each week e.g. crafts, games, cooking on a campfire etc... £3 per child suggested donation. Come dressed for the weather in old clothes (waterproofs, wellies etc..) Contact the park ranger to find out more and check dates. Drink and a snack included
6-week programme. Tuesdays 1:15pm - 2pm
This session is fun in the outdoor for pre-school children (from when they start walking until they are 5 yrs), with their parents / carers. Sessions include; parachute games, mini sports day, natural art, fun with shapes and discovering ducks. We learn through play and are sure to include singing, dancing and stretching.
Free. Meet at the activity centre. Check the weather forecast and come dressed for the weather (wellies, waterproofs or sun-cream, sun hats etc...)
Every Saturday 10am - 11am
Walk / Jog / Run a mile and take part in sport challenges and games. Parental involvement is encouraged. Make it a great start to the weekend.

Fridays 11am - 12noon (ish)
Join our volunteers who meet regularly to take care of the veg patch and are now applying for funding to expand the patch into a community garden with fruit bed, raised bed and sensory garden. We complete gardening activities each week and learn informally from one-another. Novice and experienced gardeners alike are welcome and can contribute to the group. Tea and coffee provided. Free

Let's Get Active - Daily exercise sessions
Every day of the week at the Activity centre (Healthy hub)! There is something for everyone, from Green fit to Pilates, exercise for the over 50's to buggy walks and much more besides. The programme gives further information about the intensity of the classes and you can speak to a park activator by calling 01384 813963 or dropping by the centre.

Messy Ed - sensory education for kids*
Every Saturday from 10 am - 11 am. These sessions are for pre-school aged children and involve lots of fun with taste-safe, non-toxic materials. Each week has a fun theme and creative ideas. To make the most of the session wear clothes you can get messy in and a change for after (bubble bath provided at the end). £6 - £7.50 per session depending on if you block-book or PAYG. Tiny Treasures - The Creation Station*
These sessions take place once a month and are for new mums and their young babies (newborns - 6 months old). They take place on a Thursday afternoon from 1 pm - 2:30 pm.
Upcoming dates: 22 February, 22 March, 26 April, 24 May, 28 June
Make crafty keepsakes, the sessions are £15 and include; 2+ quality products for you to transform and personalise, all paint, sparkles and materials, a cuppa and a piece of cake.

Bird Feeder Making and Nature Art*
Wednesday 21 February 11am - 12noon
Drop by to make some bird feeders, borrow some binoculars and ID guide to look for park birds. Take a tray and collect materials to create some art from! All welcome, not suitable for anyone with a serious nut allergy. Find us outside the Activity centre. Free, donations welcome
Thursday 22 February 11am - 12noon
Creation Station will be helping us with this drop-in craft, we'll be creating something for you to take away to give to loved ones to celebrate Mothers day (11 March). Aimed at children aged 3+. Find us outside the Activity centre. Free, donations welcome
Growing Together family activity*
Friday 23 February 11am - 12noon
Come and find out about our growing project; sow some seeds to take home to grow on your window ledge, do some digging, take some wildflower seeds home make a bird feeder and help us make a bird house too! All welcome. Free, donations welcome. At the vegetable patch in the Tea Gardens (near the café, up through the yew hedge archway).
Saturday 24 February 11am - 12noon
Discover hedgehogs and make your own from clay and natural materials. Arrive by 11am to make the most of this activity. Free, donations welcome. Find us outside the Activity centre
