Park Physical Activity Activators are based at parks in our new activity centres on Healthy Towns Parks. They offer a wide range of activities. Heritage Park Rangers are also based at Priory Park and Mary Stevens Park in Dudley, as part of Heritage Lottery projects.
In addition to the staffed parks there are many other parks within the borough. There is probably one within walking distance of your home.
Another important park managed by Dudley Council is Himley Hall and Park. If you want to know more about this follow the link.
The Parks are open everyday with free access. In most cases there are car -parking facilities. On the staffed parks, staff work on various rotas according to seasons. Check with individual sites for current timetables.
Please look after your dogs responsibly
It is unlawful to let dog faeces remain on the ground at the Parks. The Council has installed a number of Dog Bins throughout the borough to encourage owners and anyone in control of a dog to clear up after the dog to comply with the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996. The Council hopes this will make our Parks a more pleasant environment for everyone.
Facilities in the parks
Most Parks have a range of Outdoor Recreation Facilities such as outdoor gyms, football pitches, tennis courts, basketball courts, bowling greens and playgrounds. Park Development Services take payments for sports facilities, such as football and bowling, please contact us by email or phone.
