Dudley is a thriving market town with a strong tradition of market shopping. Its open-air market dates back to the 12th century and from the outset, was located in the heart of the town.

Once owned by the Lord of Dudley, in 2014 the market underwent a complete rebuild as part of a £6.7m refurbishment of the town centre and is now operated by Tudor Markets Limited on behalf of Dudley council. We are committed to retaining the historic roots of the Market and ensuring its success for many years to come.  Traders come from far and wide and goods offered for sale are many and various ranging from DVDs and Playstation games to fruit and vegetables; from ladies lingerie to fashionable sports wear. Dudley Council is keen to maintain the widest possible range of goods and produce.

When is the market held?

Dudley Market is open from Monday to Saturday every week. Providing traditional, local and vibrant shopping service to members of the local community.
