Brief talks held once a month on a Thursday morning about some of the Treasures within Dudley Museums Service.  These are given by our outreach staff and can be given as an outreach talk.

Thursday 10 January: History of Stourbridge Glass by Dr. Kate Round

Come along and find out why glassmaking developed here, where they came from, why they stayed and the impact they made on the world.

Find out about local Dudley Artists and their work.

Thursday 14 March: Arms and Armour by Alan Harvey

Using a 15th Century spur found at Dudley Castle as inspiration this talk will be about the men and weaponry of the time.

Thursday 11 April: Denis Mann, Mastermind by Julie Nicholls

Learn more about the Scottish glass artist who has found fame by engraving the very first Mastermind Trophy in 1970.

Thursday 9 May: Archery - The Longbow and the Men who used it by Alan Harvey

Come and join us for a fascinating talk about the the very powerful medieval longbow, what it was used for and who would have used it.

Thursday 13 June: The Magic of Glass by Dr. Kate Round
