Opened in 1879 by the Lye and Wollescote Burial Board the cemetery was passed over to the council in 1933. It is 9.45 acres in size.
Lye and Wollescote Cemetery is situated near to the Stourbridge Road (A491). The nearest motorway connection is junction 4 of the M5, which is a 15 minute drive away.
