Memorial Rose Bushes and Rose Trees at Gornal Wood

A beautiful way to remember a loved one is to have a rose tree or rose bush in their memory. A wide variety are available at Gornal Wood Crematorium where a number of areas have been set aside to be planted with the shrubs and rose bushes.

We take care to produce a colourful display throughout the year to make the areas an attractive place to visit.

A selection of 7000 roses, from which a particular variety of colour may be chosen are available. A bush or standard rose is leased for a period of five years with the right to place a memorial plaque beside the rose. An additional plaque may be purchased to enable loved ones to be commemorated together.

Maintenance of the Rose Bushes and Rose Trees

We accept responsibility for the roses care and attention including free replacement if necessary. Periodically the roses and soil are totally changed.

No vases, photos, planting of plants, containers or items tied to the rose stakes are permitted on the rose beds. Any such items on the rose beds will be removed by staff and flowers placed in the flower room. Christmas wreaths will be allowed on the beds, but will be removed from the 6th January.
