New Dudley Borough Local Plan - Scoping Consultation

Dudley Council is starting work on a new Local Plan to 2045. The new local plan is called the Dudley Borough Local Plan (DBLP).

This consultation is the first step and asks residents, businesses and other organisations for their early views.

At this early stage, the Council is asking for views on:

  • Key priorities for the councils’ future vision for the development of Dudley Borough
  • Key considerations for the spatial strategy – the overall plan for where development should go, including housing, jobs and infrastructure, making sure growth is well organised and balanced whilst protecting the environment and addressing climate change
  • The approach to identifying and assessing potential site allocations for future development
  • The scope of local planning policies
  • How we should effectively engage and communicate with people during the plan’s preparation
  • The evidence required to support the new Local Plan

The council wants to hear from everyone who has an interest in the future of the borough.

The summary document, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and video below provide a useful overview of the Dudley Borough Local Plan.
