Where we hold records that relate to Planning and Building Control Applications

Dudley Council holds records relating to planning applications dating back to 1948, and building control records relating to 1974.

Records of historic planning and building control applications from 1991 to the present day may be viewed online at our Online Planning and Building Control pages. These documents are available for you to view and print at home with no charge.

We also still hold some application documents in microfilm format, in many cases it is possible for us to retrieve these documents and make them available on our website for you to view at home, alternatively you may with prior agreement come in to the office at 4 Ednam Road and view these documents using the microfilm reader located in the public reception area.

If you wish to check the progress of a current application this can also be done by using the on-line planning and building control pages by entering the application reference number or site location.

Additionally you can also access Weekly Planning Lists on the website.
