The Dell Stadium is the council's premier outdoor sports venue. It boasts a range of facilities that can accommodate local and regional events.

    • Tuesday - 4pm to 9pm
    • Wednesday - 5pm to 9pm
    • Thursday - 3pm to 9pm
    • Friday - 4.15pm to 7pm
    • Saturday - 9am to 5pm
    • Sunday - 9am to 5pm

    Please note that opening times may vary depending on bookings. Last admission is one hour before closing time.


    Saturdays 9am onwards. Free 5K run starting and finishing at The Dell Stadium. Suitable for all ages and fitness levels but children must be aged four and over. For further details go to

    Car Parking

    There is a large free car park on site in front of the main building.

  • New 3G Floodlit Pitch

    The Dell has a brand new floodlit 3G pitch which is suitable for football or rugby. This can be hired as a quarter, half or full size pitch.

Bookings and Prices

What you will need to make an online booking

  • You will need your Member ID (Logon) number and PIN. If you do not know this information please request a new password and an email will be sent to you confirming your details.
  • Activities are bookable 7 days in advance
  • Online bookings are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Members will be charged for bookings cancelled within a 48 hour period of the booking start time

Block Bookings

Teams and clubs who wish to block book a pitch should contact the administration team on 01384 812800 to check availability.

If you are a registered club but do no have a block booking with Dudley Council you will need to pay for your booking in advance.

Athletics Track

The track is synthetic, 400m, 8 lanes, with 10 straight lanes.

The track and changing facilities were refurbished in 2000 and officially reopened on 1st July after funding from Sport England, the Lottery Sports Fund, the Foundation for Sport and the Arts and Dudley Council.

Specialist training is available from qualified coaches for beginners up to national standard. Over 250 members, aged 9 to 70 use access the Dell Stadium.

Activities at the club include sprinting, hurdling, middle distance, running, field events, road running, cross country and race walking.


3G Floodlit Pitch

There is a full size floodlit 3G sports pitch suitable for football and rugby. This can be hired as a quarter, half or full size pitch.


Grass Floodlit Pitch

The Dell also has a full size grass football pitch and stadia seating. The seating overlooks the pitch and a 400m athletics track.

Caged Grass Pitch

A full size caged grass pitch is available to hire.


The Dell Stadium has high quality football pitches including a 3G floodlit pitch, a full size floodlit grass pitch with stadia seating, and a caged grass pitch.


Football at the Dell

Recreation Ground

The recreation ground can be accessed via the stadium entrance or Pensnett Road. The ground can be used for recreational activities and picnics. It can also be hired for special events.

An outdoor gym and children's play area also sit within the grounds of the stadium.

Function Room

The function room is available for hire and can accommodate up to 50 people. This can be used for meetings, birthday parties and other special occasions.


Dudley and Stourbridge Harriers Athletics Club

The stadium is home to the successful DASH - one of the oldest clubs in the area. Founded in 1924 as Dudley Harriers, the Club took on its current name when it amalgamated with Stourbridge, Wordsley and District Harriers in 1963. The club have been based at the Dell Stadium in Bryce Road, Brierley Hill since its cinder track was opened in 1964.
