Halesowen Leisure Centre has many facilities comprising of a swimming pool, gym, wellness/toning suite, adventure play area, cycling studio, fitness studios, squash courts and function rooms. The centre caters for sports, fitness and recreational activities, meetings, birthday parties and private functions.

Improvement work and changes to Halesowen leisure centre's programme

From Tuesday 31 August 2021 the centre has been undergoing major refurbishment work in order to improve it's facilities. Phase one of the work is now complete and we are pleased to be able to open the revamped gym, new entrance and reception area, Wellbeing/toning suite and Adventure Play area on Sunday 2 January 2022. 

The pool and changing rooms are currently closed until Summer 2022 as part of a multi-million pound revamp of the site.

We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused whilst we make improvements to the centre. Customers are reminded that they can access facilities at Crystal and Duncan Edwards leisure centres and the Dell Stadium.

Information and guidance regarding Covid-19 restrictions

Overview of leisure centres

The following information highlights safety protocols and how we are operating the leisure centres in light of the current Covid-19 situation. Although many rules that were implemented last year have been removed, a few basic safety measures remain in place.

We will take a sensible approach regarding our services and will ensure that our staff and customers feel safe when visiting us and will continue to have an enjoyable experience.

Covid-19 symptoms

Please do not enter the facility if you or someone you live with has:

  • a high temperature
  • a new, continuous cough
  • a loss of, or change to, your sense of smell or taste

 Basic safety measures to remain in place

  • The government expects and recommends that people wear coverings in crowded areas, however the wearing of masks will be down to individual choice
  • Strict cleaning regimes will remain in place
  • Protective screens will be retained at main reception and key contact points such as in the gyms
  • Sanitisation stations will be available
  • It is recommended that customers scan the ‘Test and trace’ QR code when entering the facilities
  • Windows and doors will remain open in rooms (where possible) to increase ventilation
  • Customers should continue to bring their own exercise mats for classes.

Planet play - new for 2022

Come and try out our new fantastic Planet Play, suitable for toddlers and children under 148cm in height. With a toddler area, slides and Cyber Tower there is something for all ages, abilities and adventure levels. Planet play parties are also available.

Wellness/toning suite - new for 2022

Our brand new Wellness/toning suite encompasses power assisted exercise technology. It provides a ‘helping hand’ in a low impact, full-body workout circuit for exercisers who demand to work smart and effectively.

The equipment attracts older adults and those living with long term health conditions. It is safe for all age groups and abilities as users do not need to provide the motive force to overcome inertia. There are no weight stacks to control, just safe and effective power assisted technology.

What you will need to make an online booking

  • You will need your Member ID (Logon) number and PIN. If you do not know this information please request a new password and an email will be sent to you confirming your details
  • Activities are bookable 7 days in advance 
  • Online bookings are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week 
  • Members will be charged for bookings cancelled within a 48 hour period of the booking start time

At Halesowen Leisure Centre

Swimming lessons

The pool at Halesowen Leisure Centre is currently closed until Summer 2022 as part of a multi-million pound revamp of the site, therefore we are currently unable to offer swimming lessons.

Further information will be available when the pool work is complete.


The Gym at Halesowen Leisure Centre has recently undergone major refurbishment work and offers a great choice of Technogym equipment. The gym has been designed to provide everyone with the ultimate workout environment.

Fitness classes

Most of our classes are suitable for adults and children aged 12 years and above, however some classes are only suitable for 16 year olds upwards - this is due to the intensity and equipment used. 

You don’t need to be a member to take part, however if classes are your chosen activity then you may benefit from a membership which could save you money. 

The centre runs a wide range of fitness classes to suit all abilities, including BODYPUMP, BODYCOMBAT, BODYBALANCE, grit cardio, Zumba toning, Core X, yoga and much more.

Children's birthday parties

Planet Play (soft play) parties

If you're having a birthday party we can help. Let us take the strain out of hosting a party. Planet play parties are available on a Saturday and Sunday and include one hour play and 45 minutes for food. Choose from an exclusive use party or a party during our public session.

DBL Cafe

Our fantastic DBL Cafe has something for everyone to tantalise your taste buds.

Monday to Friday: 9.30am – 7.00pm (hot food available to purchase until 6.00pm and hot drinks until 6.30pm)

Saturday and Sunday: 09.30am – 4:30pm (hot food available to purchase  until 3.30pm and hot drinks until 4.00pm).

  • Car parking is available in the Pool Road Multi-Storey Car Park opposite the centre.

    Customers can enjoy up to two hour's free parking at Dudley Council car parks. For further details see ticket machines located on the car parks.
