The park has large areas of open flat grass, measuring over 6 ha, it is ideal for team games, along with smaller shaded and un-shaded areas perfect for picnics and leisure activities. One of these large areas is utilised as a football pitch, by a variety of teams over the relevant season.
The additional large grassed area, has one 5 aside area with goals. The park backs on to an area of Black Country Urban Forest, which is accessible from Fullbrook Road, off Walters Row and the Himley Road end. The paths are often, very over grown, so use at your own risk. Once inside this area, it is very peaceful, there are a few fairly managed pathways and it holds breath taking panoramic views out towards Russells Hall.
