Current known issues

Earlier bin collections this week

Due to the high temperatures, our bin crews will be starting collections earlier than usual to help keep them safe in the heat.

Please make sure your bins are out the night before, as collections will take place from 5am for the rest of this week.

Thank you for helping our crews to work safely during the hot weather.

School closures

Decisions regarding school closures are made individually by each school. In the event of a closure, your child's school will contact you directly through their usual communication channels.

For the most up-to-date announcements, please check your school's official website and social media pages.

Planning services

We have recently upgraded to a new document management system to improve our services. However, we are currently experiencing some unforeseen technical issues that are affecting the processing of certain services, including:

  • Planning applications
  • Planning enforcement cases
  • Building control applications
  • Local land charge requests

Please bear with us while we work to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.
