Dudley Trail, in association with The Lee, Shaw Partnership, is in its 40th year. Help us celebrate this ruby anniversary by joining one of two walks across Dudley borough and discover new places.

Dudley Trail is in its 40th year and we are celebrating this ruby anniversary with just two walks this year due to restrictions on events brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.

This year Dudley Trail has two challenging walks in and around Dudley borough. The routes include canals, a nature reserve, country footpaths and some roads. The six mile route is a gentle walk where you can discover some interesting places. The longer Ruby Route of around 13 miles is for more seasoned walkers requiring a little more endurance.

Anyone can take part, including children (under 14s need to be accompanied by an adult) and dogs must be on leads.

All of the routes are waymarked and a download of the route is available on the MapMyWalk app.

All walkers must pre-book online see link below for more information and booking tickets.

Entry cost:

6 mile route  £2.50 + small booking fee

Ruby route    £3.00 + small booking fee

On arrival you must check in on the car park of Dudley Leisure Centre where your e-ticket will be scanned. If you are in a family or other group, one person only from the group should register.

The start time for both walks is between 9am and 11am. To encourage social distancing, once you have registered your arrival, you can start your walk.

When walking the trails, you should keep a safe distance from any other pedestrians. For example, it may be necessary to step aside on canal tow paths to allow others to pass by.

Everyone who completes their chosen walk can collect a certificate of achievement.
