We host regular events for care leavers throughout the year such as:
- Trips to the seaside & the fair- attending the illuminations
- Working with a graffiti artist
- Barista training, coffee and cake morning and fundraising events
- Celebration events & attending the Christmas Market
- Park-runs
- Participation in the West Midlands Care Leavers Football Tournament
The main events are held during Easter, Summer, October, Care Leavers Month and Christmas. Some events are held at venues within the community (these may include, bowling, rock climbing, go-karting, cinema, laser quest etc).
Care leavers are also invited to the Birmingham Christmas Dinner. This is a free event for young adults 16-25 who may be alone at Christmas. The event includes a 3-course meal, presents, a nice atmosphere with good company to enjoy the special day. Transportation is also provided.
Harry’s café in Brierley Hill is now associated as a Rees Café. You can get a free drink with your Rees card at Harry’s and any other location which Rees are supporting. Please see the Rees Foundation website for more details.
We have a weekly drop-in held locally, which we will be extending to daily. A selection of donated clothes are available which you are free to look through and make use of. We would like all our Care Experienced young people to keep in touch with us, please do attend. Please speak to your PA for more details.
