On this page, you can report issues with your bin collections, including missed collections, and notify us of any damage or injury caused by a collection vehicle.
Report a missed bin collection
You can use our missed bin form to report a missed collection.
You can report:
- missed general waste, food waste and recycling collections from 4pm on the day of collection and up to 4pm on the next working day
- missed assisted general waste, food waste and recycling collections from 4pm on the day of collection and up to 4pm, two working days later
Garden waste collections
Garden waste will be picked up within 7 working days of being reported.
Report a problem with bins or containers
If you have any problems with our waste collection service you can tell us using the form below to request the following bin types:
- a black refuse bin for general waste
- a blue wheeled bin for mixed recycling, for example: cans, plastic, glass, cartons
- a blue bag for recycling paper, card and cardboard
- a green bag or black box for recycling
- a kerbside food caddy and a smaller kitchen food caddy
- a green waste bag or green bin for garden waste collection
The wait for black and green bin requests is typically up to 15 working days.
The wait for box and bag requests is typically up to 4 weeks.

Important notices
Collection times
- Collections run Monday to Friday, 6am to 2pm.
- Place your bins out by 6am on your collection day.
- Do not put bins out before 7:30pm the night before.
- Waste should be placed at the back of the pavement.
- Bins should be taken in as soon as possible following collection to avoid any unnecessary obstruction.
Important: We may issue a written notice if your bins are put out too early. Continued non-compliance may result in a fixed penalty notice, and potentially a larger fine if prosecuted.
Items that are not collected in regular service
We also can't collect dangerous items such as knives, broken glass or other similar objects which could cause injury.
